Each day these individuals are served a hot, nutritious meal delivered to their door by a friendly, caring volunteer. The quality of the food, which is excellent, provides nourishment for their bodies. The encouraging words from our volunteers, provides enrichment for their soul. For some of the homebound, the visit from a volunteer is the only human contact they will have that day. With the help of our volunteers and your donations the low cost intervention provided by Meals on Wheels of Avon Park, Inc. helps to improve the overall health of the individuals we serve. |
